Here is my problem. I have a 93 Gs 5 speed. I can go in reverse just fine on a flat surface or on a SLIGHT incline. It's when I try to back up a hill I have problems. I can start to go up the hill and then the tranny will pop outta reverse. Any idea what the problem is? I am giving it enough gas, it just keeps doing it. It was a pain in the arse to have to keep stopping and putting it back into reverse. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried adjusting the shifter per vfaq? Sometimes it is barely in gear and this can happen. I was popping out of 2 and 4 but by that time my tranny was fried.
