So I sold the car but still end up fixing it. Sold it to my now girlfriend, long story. Checked the Vfaq, Need to replace the Driver's side front CV joint or axle. Boot broke after I changed her oil sometime, not sure when. Anyone got any tips, or want to offer a hand? Never done this before, and don't want her to have to pay to take it in. Any help or even poking fun would be appreciated.

shouldn't take you more then 20 minutes. Jack the car up. Take off the wheel. Take off the spindle nut (prolly 34mm or so). Take off the 2 bolts that hold the hub to the strut (located on the bottom of the strut). Swing the hub out of the way. Get a pry bar or something and pull the axle out. Dont yank on it before the CV joint or else you will seperate the axle and you will have a piece stuck in there. Not a big deal, just a pain in the ass.
