I'm getting so pissed off at stupid stuff like this. A while back I had a problem and it was everytime I launched my gsx it would take off for like 20 feet, then fall on it's face and make a loud pop, and then take off again. After a few posts on here and a lot of time testing things and asking around I tried changing out the cam angle sensor with a brand new one and I launched it twice and it was fine. Well tonight I launched the car again ( 1st time since then ) and the same problem is back again. I tested and retested the car for boost leaks and that's not it. I also threw in a different set of plugs and wires and still same problem. Injectors have also been swapped out and it still does it. What could be causing this?!?! I tried 2 ecus as well.

1 thing I never considered until tonight is a missadjusted or broken tps. For all you safc people ... when you just let the car idle ( no foot on the gas pedal ) what will the safc give you for your tps voltage ( go to sensor check and look at the 3rd one ) Mine reads .71 .. seems ok to me but who knows. What else could be left??!?!

I know its not my tuning because I datalogged a 3rd gear run and my timing curve is nice and smooth with 20 degrees at 7300 rpm and no dips. O2 voltage is at .92ish.

Sounds like its loading up. A loud *pop* is a really rich thing. I saw DSMLINK is your fuel control.

I bet you run colder plugs right? BPR7ES's ??
What is your plug gap with that much boost?

Damn I wish I could help you.

Go with BR7ES plugs and see. I recommend them to anyone who is more than 50% modded. .026" Gap was the magic number for me to eliminate my ignition problems over 18 psi.

I'm running those plugs gapped at .028. Dsmlink is not yet installed so I'm still running an eprom ecu with an safc. I don't think it has anything to do with tuning, because according to a datalog O2s are right where it should be. I don't think running slightly rich will cause the car to just jerk like I stalled it out or whatever and then start pulling again either. Thanks for the ideas.

I have never driven a 2G that hit fuel cut, but in a 1G it is crazy. Feels like you hit a brick wall and then all is fine. The first time I did it I almost crapped my pants. I have hit it in first gear before and a few times in second gear.
