Ok so i have been having this major problem. 5 days ago i accidently ran out of gas and my car died. so i knew the feeling of going 10 mph and pushing in the clutch and it dying losing power steering and brake. to fix it i filled her up and slowly the idle got back to normal.

*also if it matters i have had the check engine light on for 2 weeks because i broke my rear O2 sensor after the cat i dont think thats the problem but i also cant tell if the light would be coming on*

Well today i was coming home on a road and i had the music on and i thankfully noticed that my rpms were at 0 and i realized my car wasnt even on at all! at this point i was coasting at about 50 so i quickly turned the key gave it some gas and pulled to the side then i started and gave gas and got home without stopping cause it was right by my house. I hav a half tank of gas now so i dont know what the problem would be?? and i was idling fine at every light until that point and it wont even turn on without dying. I have no idea what to do or even what caused this if anyone could help it would be verrry much appreciated so i can get my car driving again.

i would think that that ISC coil could be the problem but this happened almost the same way as i ran out of gas and i dun think it was a coincidence but maybe?? well i guess i could change the fuel pump but i really dont want to unless that would be for sure the problem, my car died out a good 5 days ago and since i filled her up its been perfectly normal so i dunno this is soo odd

well i guess noone knows i think maybe ill start by changing the fuel filter maybe that got clogged or somthin but this is driving me nuts

does this happen when the clutch is in? or even when clutch is out? if its when the clutch is in, could be bad news ( crankwalk, at least it was in my case ) -- however, if its when the clutch isnt even engaged, probably isc.

i highly doubt its crankwalk no only when the clutch is in but it will also happen with the clutch out such as if i had it in neutral. mostly when the car trys to idle it is like not getting enough gas or something? could this isc thing have something to do with me running out of gas earlier? becuase i doubt that this would happen 5 days later as a coincidence, the car has not had any problems to date since this

I just tried to start it and went around the block real quick like 2 min ago. it has a very hard time keeping idle and without me giving gas it will like sputter at almost 0 rpm and then eventually it will die. when i give it gas it feels normal, i think

any help or ideas to this problem will honestly be much appreciated i came here first because i think everyone here would know what do do first before i take it in to see what they tell me

I had something similar happen to me. I was driving and it just died. That was all of 2 months ago and I still havent got it running. Well i got it running for about a minute the other day, it was running perfect, then it just died and wont run anymore. So im fixing to go check the ISC and change my fuel filter. If those arent it, I realy dont have a clue.

If youg et yours figured out would you post it so it can help others, and possibly me?

Thanks,
Cody

yes the problem was when i added my exhaust system apparently it affected the idle and the biss screw came out a little and affected it
