Yes, My heat shields are both on.The engine seems very hot under the hood but doesnt overheat and doesnt show high on the stock temp gauge but everything is very hot, even the hood arm that holds it up,too hot to touch. The AC fan MELTED! Since a fluidyne is thicker does it put the fan closer to the manifold? Anyone ever heard of this happening? EVeR? This sucks. Its one thing after another. Why did this happen? Is there something about me needing slim fans on a fluidyne or what?If you have a fluidyne please give me your inputs. Thanks

The passenger side fan comes on after it sits for a little while and the drivers side comes on when i turn on the AC.I dont know why its so hot :( my stock temp gauge reads at halfway mark and my coolant level is fine. But overall, its very hot under there and the stick that holds up the hood is too hot to touch. My manifold was slightly glowing the other night after a hard run but thats normal for the manifold to do that from all the posts i read on it.Should i wire both fans to be on at all times? Or do i have a serious problem i need to check out?

The prop rod on my car gets pretty hot as well.

Which part of the A/C fan (motor, wiring, fan blades, etc) melted?

Sorry for not getting the info on that...Its the AC fan one of its blades just melted and folded over. Its right in front of the manifold but there are 2 heat shields where they are supposed to be on the manifold.I dont want to buy new slimline fans and have them melt also.I gotta find out why this happened. Thanks
