HELP!!!!

When i did mine...I removed the 4 bolts in back and the nut on front..Then i took a hammer and twisted it out...It comes out a lot easier when you try twisting it out. Where did you get your Hub Assembly...If you got it at autozone..The computer is wrong..In the computer the part is for a FWD car...Even tho it's under an AWD car..I know, cause i work there..haha..and had to deal with getting the wrong part!!The hub assembly you need will have a shaft!! Good luck man

how did you use a hammer to twist it out? technique? or did you just hammer away until it got loose? ....and btw, I got the wheel bearings from the dealer... :thumb:

That looks like alot of rust. Hopefully the splines of the axle isnt stuck to the splines of the hub with rust. Are you able to knock the axle out of the hub? If you are able to knock it loose then the hub should come out, If its stuck then time to bring out the torch or a press

Mine was rusted solid w/ the shaft, so I took it into a shop with a press. Needless to say with heat and everything it didn't break free. So they replaced the shaft too....

Try some heat! Heat the hub with a torch, even a small propane torch would help. Keep the heat on the hub, so it expands, and pulls away from the saft. This may help break it loose. Hit the hub with a hammer, combination of heat and vibration, might break it loose.
Be careful the rust buster stuff don't catch on fire!! ;)

DO NOT HEAT AND HIT WITH HAMMER!!!! My friend fvcked his threads doing that. How your supposed to get it off is use a air hammer with a round tip bit. It should shock it right out. PB Blaster is awesome stuff. It helps free rusted parts. Puts WD40 to shame :thumb:

I should read a litte more. I was talking about the half shaft. You have to get that out first. I took the entire spindle out. I had to take mine to the machine shop to get pressed out. The new ones will get pressed in when you tighten the bolts.

For some reason I feel that you probably got this fixed already? I had the same problem with mine. I used a pulley puller to take mine off. Got it on as tight as it would go(actualy stripped a thread it was so tight) put alittle heat on the axel tip, took a rubber hammer and whack, it slid right off onto the floor.
