I have a 93 Tsi AWD A/T. The seven bolt is out, and a six bolt from a 91 M/T car is now in. After the swap the car ran great, no problems. After a couple of months the 2.5" Buschar turboback downpipe came loose and was causing some vibrating, and sputtering sounds. Now the exhaust is fixed but there is a vibration around the engine when the car is revved. My dad and I cannot figure out what it is. It causes the dipstick to move back and forth really fast, and makes some noise. I doubt that it is anything internal, because the car runs wondefully, infact I drove it today, but you can still feel the vibration as you let off the throttle. The car is still on the stock Tranny. This is the only problem with the car other than it's varying fuel economy (anywhere from 10 - 16mpg, 120-200 miles a tank  ). The is pretty much stock except for the exhaust

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats one idea my dad had. When we put the six bolt engine in, we had trouble getting the torque converter on. hmm. Would that effect the way the car drives?
