Is it still good?

hey guys
My I blown a head gasket and my engine got really hot. the manifold was red hot with a small oil fire on it. I got the fire out ok. I havent started the car since then but i noticed that my turbo doesnt spin freely. And there also isnt any play in it. Is it still good?

ur turbo don't spin? probably not... if u can't spin it with ur hand maybe it's seized up

I can spin it, but not as freely as this other turbo I have. The other turbo has a little bit of sideways play.

After that happened to the car I left it over night and the next morning it started right up and I drove a couple miles. Then it started getting to warm so I shut it down. I would say the the lower end of the engine is still good but I would say that my head is worped because its already been miled down once. I haven't tore into the motor far enough to find out exactly what the prob. is because I am putting a JDM motor in right now.

the turbo is fine. its not spinning AS freely because there was no oil in the bearing housing to lube it. sart the car to get oil pumping, turn it off and spin the turbine again. i bet you it will spin freely.
