Windsor,
I have a 1g n/t talon FWD. i have it up on jack stands. When i give it gas only the passanger side spins but not the driver side. the diver side sounds like the brakes are locking to it. I already checked the brakes and crap but they aren't locked onto it. Whats the problem? Or on that type should it only be one wheel spinning at a time then switching back and forth for the power ratio.

Then how come when i give it juice, the wheel sounds like the brakes are locking? i checked them and made sure they weren't. is there something going on that im not aware of?

If you lift only the LF off the ground (leave RF down) it should spin (I assume you don't have a LSD which would make both turn). Remove pads in LF. With wheel off if still noise, check backing plate touching, bad wheel bearings or cv joints.

Have you seen "My Cousin Vinny"?

 hehehe thats a good movie. I know exactly what part your talking bout. Thats the best part of the whole movie. That girl kicks a$$ :thumb: But yea im pretty sure that the 1g nt's didnt come with lsd's but still, shouldnt both the wheels be spinning when there in the air? Correct me if im wrong but i think both wheels should be spinning, just one faster than the other one. Like one doin 30mph and the other doing like half that. Even on my AWD talon when in the air all 4 wheels spin but the driver side front is slower than the other 3:talon:

No - without LSD the two wheels can spin at different speeds (this is necessary for turns) including one stopped. It all depends on which side has the most resistance/traction. So every car will be different when both wheels are off the ground. But when one wheel is stopped the other will go at twice it's normal speed.

well i have my front end in the air with both the wheels taken off...your looking at the rotor and shit on it. and the driver side just sits...ill try taking the brakes off. maybe that'll work like someone suggested
