i've been having a lot of problems with my car recently. My car is always hesitating and just jerking around under acceleration. also, my idle is horrible and the car stalls at times when i come to a stop. on my safc throttle readout, the signal is in and out. it'll read 40% under acceleration (normal) and then cut out to 0%, stay there for while and then go back and forth. it's really erratic. i figured it was the tps so i went to the junkyards and picked a couple of 2g tps'. put those in and the problem is still there.
whipped out the datalogger and pulled 3 codes:
1) P1400: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Malfunction
2) P0120: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor; Switch a Circuit
3) P0105: Map Barometric Pressure Sensor Malfunction
Going to the Chilton's Manual, my friend and I tested the voltage of the TPS and even swapped MAP sensors. The sensors are good and the problem is still there. Then we go ahead and test the harness of the TPS. Readout was 0.013 compared to his 5.2v readout. So we figured the harnesses aren't getting power for some reason; that's why the signal is so weak and just cuts out every now and then.
Anyone have any ideas? I don't really see a reason why there would be a severed connection and we doublechecked the SAFC connection to the ECU throttle wire. Also, we checked the battery and alternator. everything checked out good.
