I have had so many problems with my car but anyways, i purchased a new short block. I told the person who built it the year and what not for my car (1993 Eagle Talon Automatic). So he built the block up and sent it to me. I bought a 4 layer mitsu steel head gasket and was starting to transfer coolant lines and motor mounts when i realized that the front motor mount on the new engine 2g was not the same as my block infact there is no area for the front motor mount to go on the block. From what i understand the front motor mount is more or less on the transmission rather than the block. Also there looks like the block has an extra transmission bolt towards the front (which makes me think it is for a manual). So should i send it back or is there a chance? plz help me :(

Front engine mount *does* attach to the transmission. I have no clue what else you're talking about. Take a picture and comeback.

on a 2g engine and trans there are 3 trans mounts and 1 motor ... on a 1g engine and trans I believe there is 1 trans mount and 3 motor mounts. Seems like putting a 2g motor into a 1g would be a pita.

Yes. that's why nobody does it. Why did you get a 2G block instead of a 1G block?
