i'm having problems with my A/C compressor not kicking on for a 96 Talon TSI. have the A/C system recharge, last week at a shop and they say my Compressor is not working.. heres a list of things i checked and found out..
1) A/C belt is fine.
2) A/C Compressor Relay is good.
3) check the A/C fuse on the fuse box below the Battery and it's good.
4) Turn the car on and turn on the A/C, and check the Connector that located ontop of the Compressor, took a voltmeter to it. and i'm not getting any power from it. there are 3 pins for the connector.. don't know what the other wire is for. power/ground/?
Is there a fuse for the A/C located underneath the driver's dash fuse box? cuz it doesn't have a listing for A/C on the cover of the fuse box. how many fuses are dedicated to the A/C system?
Is there a Coolant Sensor by the themostat housing, the ECU use this sensor to determent wheather to turn on the compressor or not?
sorry for being so long, any help would be great. Thanks.

If you want to find out what controls electricity to the connector and which pin does what, check out your Haynes manual for a wiring diagram. If I had a 2g, I'd try and look at it for you, but I don't.

The coolant sensor is the fat plug about six inched under the radiator cap. The smaller skinny plug is for you temp gauge and the fat one on the left is for the ecu.

How do i tell if the coolant sensor is bad, what do i look for? i'm so frustrated with this problem, about my A/C that i'm thinking taking it in to a shop that specialize in A/C systems.. the thing with electrical problems is it could take from 5 mins to hours.. so the cost could vary.

Is this the coolant sensor "the one circle in red" that the ECU use to determent wheather to turn on the compressor? any help would be great. thanks!!
