A/C Problems, questions.

Ok today im going to get off my ass and work on the a/c setup.
I bought the car with everything installed, however it's not blowing cold air. I have a spare a/c compressor, but with this thing being awd, i dont want to change it if i dont have to do to the PITA factor. There is pressure in the sytem within specs. I turn start the car, have the blower on, press the a/c switch on two clicks, i hear the engine change tone a little, doesnt really change rpm, NO light on the switch comes on, and I get blazing hot florida air. I've checked the fuses, and they are all good. Is there some tips you a/c experts could give me to check. Thanks.

Your car is old you probably need a recharge. Not to mention your condensor (the "big radiator-like thing") is probably damaged in some way ... I mean, the car is almost 14 years old. I know mine has a big dent in it, and there's no refridgerant in my car, so it's just a big gas guzzling hot air blowing PoS right now .

Thanks. The car has been recharged. The condensor and radiator have both been replaced. Anything else guys?

check the a/c clutch signal harness and it looks like there is a cut circuit in between your switch and the hardware, since you said the A/C light does not come on in the console panel.

Check the fuses and relays in the system, and the thermal cutout switches.

shoot.... mine(a/c) is currently doing the same thing... hot humid indiana suffocating(sp?) air.. blah. my car has 99K mi.
