I have a 90 TSi AWD with a 3" turbo- back exhaust and I need to install a cat on it for e-check unfortunatly  and I want to be able to put a test pipe on it. I know I could take it somewhere but thats not cheap. I already bought the cat from Summit but I found out later that my exhaust is a straight pipe( no test pipe) all the way to the muffler, except for the flex pipe( should have looked before, o well). Anyway, I am going to need to do some cutting and I was wondering what the best and cheapest rout to go is. I have some friends to help so I'm not doing this by myself. Any suggestions? :talon:

well.

take your cat, and your rear section of exhaust and have one end flared at an exhaust shop.

and slip them together.
if you get the flares right, you can just leave them slip jointed, RNR exhaust is slip jointed wit no leaks.
