hey all, hope you can help me out. I have a 98 eclipse gs I just bought the other day. yesterday my front end made a ratcheting noise after I turned. It did it three different times. I would make a slow sharp turn and during the turn the fornt end would start making a ratcheting noise and feel like the half shafts were slipping, even after straitening out. the only way I found to make it stop doing it was to pop the cluthc and slip the right fornt wheel then it would be ok again. Any ideas?

that was my first thought, boots look ok, and no sign of grease anywhere. but I also thought if it were the CV's woudl it just click turning? it starts doing it in the turn then keeps doing it even going straight unlesss I slip the power wheel.

I dont know a lot about this car. As I said I just bought it a couple of days ago and so far I have done a couple of minor repairs to it. I was told that the engine was just replaced, though I dont know why.
