Rebuilding my motor..hit a few snags..Wisemen lend me your ears.

As you see on my site the car has no engine in it. (at least its not on jaskstands hahah)

Well i have pics as I go but i'll explain till i get them posted.

Problem 1.
Balanceshaft eliminator kit was installed, it didnt turn into a problem until the dang freeze plug came up missing.
Where can i get another one or can i buy it from a local store? :thumbdown

Problem #2.
The frikkin Woodrif key (sp) is missing. If my memory serves me correctly thats the thing that fits on the outside of the crank shaft, correct me if i'm wrong.

Mechanic says I need a RTV (whatever the hell that is)

Problem #4
On top of all that the 14b is fubar so I want to get its internals swapped to a 16g (where can i get it done) and i need a 2g exhaust manifold, mine is cracked.

I havent really started to dislike this car yet. But dang its alot to it.

RTV is a sealant used to make gaskets. I guess that's what he means...?

On top of all that the 14b is fubar so I want to get its internals swapped to a 16g (where can i get it done) and i need a 2g exhaust manifold, mine is cracked.

You're probably better off just buying a new 16G. I'd be willing to bet that your housing is cracked or will be cracked soon. 2G exhaust manifolds are easy to come by. And fairly cheap too! http://www.slowboyracing.com/Exhaust/Exhaust manifolds/2g exhaust manifold/2g.html

If you did a search or checked www.vfaq.com like you should have, heres what you would have came up with in a matter of 3 minutes...

Yes. That is what the key is. Inside the crank shaft snub and slide the crank pulley over it. Also available from Mitsubishi.

Sealant. "Gasket in a tube". Silicone. Available at any autoparts store in all kinds of strengths, tolerances, and colors too!

AWESOME I called my local mitsu dealer and its $15.62 for the balance shaft plug and 5.13 for the woodruff.

My pops is the parts driver for another local dealer so I can get the HOOk UP. thanks guys
