Ok well i just bought this car and Im already having problems with it. Its a 97 talon tsi, and when i got it, it was bone stock. I put on a BOV(vented to atmosphere/no cell), full N1 exhaust, injen intake, and some gauges.

The problem started when i put the exhaust, and intake on. As soon as I hit around 10-12 psi in any gear I get a weird stuttering. Almost as if I have hit rev limiter. the cars drives perfectly normal with no missing, or heistation when I dont really boost it. I can rev the car in nutral to red line with no problems either, so it only happens when there is load on the motor. I thought it might be fuel cut but it shouldn't be hitting it on stock boost. But again it doesnt feel like fuel cut.

I thought it might be a boost leak, and have done some checks and everything seem ok but im going to be doing more tomorrow. At idle my gauge is reading only 12-13 psi of vaccum at 750rpm which i thougnt was kind of low. Not sure what it should be, but on my 1g and my supra it was around 18psi. Also Im getting no coeds. If anyone could please help me I would appriciate it a lot :(

Sounds like boost leak or plugs and wires. And my Boost gauge hangs at about - 18-20 psi at idle. What BOv did you put on? Venting to the atmosphere really isn't a good idea, could be the problem but who knows?

I have the turbo smart one that is supposed to vent back into the intake. Im just venting it right now because I cant find a hoes that had the right bends yet i had this before it started stuttering so i dont think this si the problem. If yours is at 18-20 which i thought it should be at then, I guess I have a leak someone where or is there something else that would cause that low of vaccum. But at the same time why would this happen just after i install exhaust and intake???

Put new plugs in today. There where champions with big gaps. So i put some NGK with proper size gap and no more stutter. But because of the exhaust now I get crazy boost spike. So i need to get a boost controler soon. I still have low idle, and Im not sure why yet. probley a small leak somewhere.
