Well I narrowed my problem to the fuel system. My 02 sensor is brand spankin new and it still trippin a CEL light. I looked in my trusty Chilton's manual and noticed it said that if the sensor check out good, then fuel pressure might be my problem. At the same time, the car developed a hard starting which the fuel pump could be a contributing factor. What would cause fuel pressure to be affected? All my ignition components are good as well. Hopefully someone will reply this time! :)

What would be a good enough FPR. I'm not looking into makin big horsepower and just want a funtionable FPR that will do it's job, instead of buying one direct from Mitsubishi. Let me know. Thanks.

Okay, I changed the fuel filter, it still has hard time starting up. At the same time I added a B&M Fuel pressure gauge, and it reads 39-40 psi with vaccum line disconnected from the FPR. The car idles a lot better than before but still feels rough. But what else would cause hard starts? Plugs and wire have been changed, oil, and now the fuel filter. Any ideas what would cause such a low pressure reading? I will be switching out my fuel pump soon with a rewire. Thanks again. :dsm:

fuel pressure seems fine. put some injetor cleaner in it.

are you sure the spark plug wires are fine? that will cause rought idle and hard starts also.

also inspect the battery and connections

it will have a hard time starting hot or cold. I forgot to mention that I have a new battery, new alternator, and I did the seafoam stuff. To come and think of it, the hard starting, rough idling, and stalling happened right after I did the sea foam(fuel system cleaner). It was running ok before that. Let me know what you guys think with the new information provided. Thanks.
