Ok guys, here are the problems.…

1)A few months ago I had been experiencing some stuttering and backfiring so I replaced the plugs and wires (gaped correctly). After I had replaced the plugs and wires the car ran pretty good other than the fact that my car shook like crazy and my rpm’s danced between 0-1k when my AC was on and the car was stopped. I know the AC takes some power but what I am experiencing is just ridiculous. I figure that I will just up the idol a little too about 1,200k to try and counter the problem. Let me know if that sounds like a good fix or if you think there could be a bigger problem.

2)Before and after I had replaced the plugs and wires, my car seems to be experiencing some type of a misfire or fuel-cut problem. Let me give you an example of the problem…
I’m at a stoplight, light turns green I let off the clutch and give it some gas, the car sputters, the rpm’s fall to about 100, and the car just seems to die. The only fix I have for this is to press in on the clutch and rev the engine a little then let off the clutch and give it some more gas. This is my biggest problem because recently I have been getting caught in the middle of busy intersections and not be able to move. I’m think this could be a timing issue or maybe I’m running a little lean. Please let me know your thoughts about this.

Sorry about the long post but I tried to explain it the best as possible. Thanks for your help! BTW my car is a 99 Eclipse GS (n/t) lightly moded.

Have you checked all your fuel lines and everything. Sounds like your fuel filter may be cloged and is making it run really lean. I would maybe replace that or check some of the other lines. Could be a timming issue. Idk sounds weird Hope that helped
