Resolved 1G 4G37 Bad ECU?

My #3 injector is not injecting. The injector it self is good because i swapped the #2 injector with #3 and it still does not work. I listened to it with a stetshiscope (sp) and it is not ticking, all of the other injectors are. It gets power and I know the ground wire that goes to the ecu is intact because when i ground the wire at the ECU the injector ticks when i listen to it with a stetsiscope.

This is on my 92 1.8. What year ECUs are compatible for the 1.8s. VFAQ only has ECUs for turbos.

What I would do is get pin locations for the 1.8 ecu and a cheap multi-meter and make sure both injector wires are ok. Do this by checking the resistance (Ohms) and check the book for the correct readings. Does the ecu make ticking noises like the injectors almost or does it smell like fish? Also while you are at it, check ecu grounds.

ahhhh man. I wish you would of posted sooner. I just got one off ebay yesterday for $120. If this one doesnt work for some reason ill email you.

It was the ECU. I installed the new one and it runs fine now.
