No Oil Pressure??

I need some help with my oil pressure problem. Here are the details. Im rebuilding my engine because my ring is bad in my number 2 cylinder and I only have 25 psi of compressoin. My oil pressure is on the L when it idles and when I drive it! It doesnt move! I just changed my timeing belt, but the oil pump is timed correctly. Can teh oil pressure be low because of my ring or because of bearings? I need help before I rebuild!

Or a faulty oil pressure sending unit.

I say the oil pump/gears as well. I have the same issue going on right now. Im doing the timing on Wednesday so Im replacing the front case and the oil pump gears while Im at it. Ill let u know teh outcome by the end of the week.

Thats good news. Now when you say the oil pump gears you mean the internal gears not the gear that the timing belt is on? Also When I pull apart the engine will it be noticable or do I have to do some type of test(Just so I dont F anything up!).

Not to state the obvious, but do you have the connector plugged into the sending unit? I know mine was loose and fell off a lot until I used a ziptie to hold it in place.

Me, Im replacing both oil pump gears. Internal and external. Mind as well do it while its out.

I just got everything done, but Im still not getting the pressure that i expect. I was told if everything still doesnt seem right that it could be my bearings. :thumbdown
