I was reading posts on rather or not to use OEM TOB or the one that comes with the ACT 2600.In the posts people were saying there is no difference and that they are the same now.Well there seems to be a big difference and i dont know which to use.OEM or ACT one which is made by NACHI the OEM is NSK.There is even a difference in size if you look at the pics carefully. So what the hell? Is the one that came with the ACT2600 bigger cause it needs to be , and i need to use that one? Someone help me out here. The center of the "ACT NACHI" one feels like teflon in which i know they didnt used to be..They were steel.Anyway ACT 2600 users what should i do?Thanks

The ACT will work, many people have used it and it works great for them. With any TOB install make sure to put grease on the input shaft. However you can also use the OEM TOB. I myself ordered a ACT 2600 clutch kit and just went and bought a mitsu. TOB and installed it with the ACT clutch. So you can use which ever you would like, some people will tell the ACT is garbage, and not to use it and others will say it is fine.....Its up to you, but if I were you i'd throw in a new mitsu TOB...I am only saying this based on my own install. -Good Luck

Its a tough question - my car had a new OEM TOB installed when the ACT 2600 first went in about 2 years ago - and it incinerated it last year. I've heard of this happening alot with the ACT TOBs - but it usually will destroy the clutch along with it, mine was fortunate enough only to take out the bearing - the pressure plate & clutch plate were both fine. I replaced it with another OEM bearing, and I"ve had no problems since.
