My dipstick just popped out and spilled oil all over the engine bay, including the wastegate which almost started a fire! There was smoke pouring out from under the hood. I thought the <A TITLE="Click for more information about car" STYLE="text-decoration: none; border-bottom: medium solid green;" HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||cars|AA1VDw">car</A> was all done.
I had just changed the oil, so I'm hoping I just didn't put the dipstick in all the way.
But is it possible that the combination of heat from the wastegate and high oil pressure blew the dipstick out??
I was just reading a post on DSMtalk from a guy who burnt his laser to the ground the exact same way!
Any ideas?
