Hey all! I think this is my first or second post, but have been reading for a good time now(3-4months),
I have a 91 talon(nonturbo) as a turbo buildup project car, we will see where I can go from there, but anyway.
Considering a good part of you know a lot about turbo setups, I figured I would ask this.
Its not a dsm but the rules of physics still apply, I hope.
86 yota 22re turbo(all stock, truck only has 80k on it)
New everything in block/head, turbo is NEW, not a reman.
It runs pretty well, kickass for a truck imo.
It is a friends truck actually, he has bought 3 turbos that fail with the same result. I have searched a great deal looking for the answer to the problem,
The exhaust has been blowing unburt oil when the engine rev's. Being as its unburnt it makes me think the only way oil can get out is from the turbo, otherwise it would be smoke, right?
I have found one thing about this truck on forums, the exhaust is pretty close to the oil feed line to the turbo and that thins the oil from the heat.
Other than that, the truck has no real problems and is a blast for 4x4in,
Any input would be greatly appreciated, except "Get off our forum you redneck!" heaha
