A lot of people told me that the valve cover should se no boost, if so very little. WEll I'm doing a boost leak test and its leaking from the valve cover very badly. I did the test without the oil return line hooked up and the oil just shot out of the oil return hole on the turbo. I'm assuming thats how it was pressurizing the valve cover some how. I had just taken the turbo apart to install a a gasket sealent around the o-ring in there. Thats where it was leaking from before. So there was little or no oil in the turbo, nor coolant. I still don't understand how air being pumped in throught the turbo would reach the oil line. I sometimes also have a low oil pressure situation a idle that happens occasionally..maybe something to do with this. I'm so tired of taking out and re-installing this 14b...i'm ready to just by a new turbo. Then again I don't want to buy one if I don't have to /or if thats not the problem. Let me know what you think.

The boost is reaching whatever we set it to with the mbc but can't get past 5000 rpm under WOT. (i'm assuming we are hitting boost cut. Now the interesting part.....if I dsconnect the BOV recirculating line from the intake tube the car goes to redline but idles like crap down low I'm assuming from the vacuum leak at the intake pipe. Explain how this all is possible?

where are you testing from? i had the same problem when i tested at the turbo inlet and some people told me it was normal since there isnt usually pressure inside the turbo only after the turbo. I dont know if its true but i listened to them and it has been a few months now and my cars running better then ever.
