surging misfire

:thumbdown my 97 gst convertible has surging and misfire, feels like engine cutting out ,this usually occurs around 4000 to 4500rpm, to all the way flooring the gas peddle on the highway (in 5th gear) and no check engine light,I've already replaced the cam angle sensor and the BOV and the crank angle sensor due to the "crank walk" but the surging and misfire is still happening...oh and bye the way I've had my bearings replaced due to the advice of the Mit's tech and the crank started walking again after 600mi on the new bearings.... what the heck is wrong with this car

My guess would be its time for a 6 bolt engine.

It is a good idea to never rebuild a walked crank or block. As it has not been isolated which one is causing the problem just avoid them both. Sorry to say but replacing the bearings didn't fix the problem it jsut put a new bandaid on it.

I am not going to delve into the misfire too much if you crank is walking....kinda like worrying about a hangnail on somebody who is bleeding to death.
