hey guys,, cars been running like crap (91 tsi fwd turbo 5speed)
smoking bad, mostly while under boosted, running like crap , and blowbying out the valve cover vent.
just did a compression test, and starting with the one on the drivers side there as followed.
152
155
160,
then the one on the passengers side is almost nothing. my gauge starts numbers at 50, and it barly makes it half way there.
i tryed sqwirting oil into the cylinder, and no change.
pulled the valve cover, and all rockers seem to be intac and fine,, all 4 valve move just fine, and normal.
what do you guys think? burnt piston?,..

looks like it's time to call slowboy...... just put this engine in a couple months ago (used) now it's toast....

Thanx

Isaac

I know i really havent posted on here much, but from my experience, that sounds like a burned valve in that cylinder. cause if it was something to do with the rings or piston then when you put oil in the cylinder the compression would have increased. the fact that you dont have any mixtures and the failing of the wet compression test would point towards a head problem of some sort but sounds MOST like a burned valve.
