Alright, everyone following this, reminder, when I first got the car back from the shop the comp test results were 139, 141, 155, 141, so they have actually gone UP since then and since the car started running more badly. New numebrs are:
(from 1 to 4, l to r)
145
145
155
155
On cyl 3 it is blacking out (oily) plugs in a matter of minutes after new ones are put in. The car stumbles like a mofo at lower speeds and misfires like crazy until you get high rpms (likely due to this plug I'd say) and eats oil like crazy (quart or two a week!).
The shop was saying it was rings causing this so they wouldn't fix it, but these comp results say otherwise! My neighbor thinks it is a valve bent or valve seal, or valve not seating. I was satrting to think it was a HG but wouldn't that cause low compression?
Oh, another weird thing, I went to check the oil today and it was about 2 inches ABOVE the full mark when it was a quarter inmch below it last night, and no oil has been added. It almost smells like fuel in it?
What do you guys thinks?
Thanks, Ryan
