Well I installed my 1g BOV in my 2g, used the adapter from dejontool and all that good stuff. But here is what is happening, my boost will hit about 20 psi, and stay there. I don't have anything done except for an Injen intake and the 1g BOV and when I had the old BOV in it would hit 20 on full throttle but then settle back to 15, now it sticks at about 20 at wide open. My other concern is the sound, people said the 1g would whistle more, but it sounds just like me 2g bov. Could it be that I have a boost leak? Should I use some sealent on the gasket and the adapter and maybe some teflon tape on the part that slides into the UICP? Just not sure what is going on guys, thanks for the help in advance.

your 2G BOV dropped back down because it cant hold that much PSI. Get a fuel pump rewire ASAP running that boost, check out Vfaq . Its a cheap mod but worth it.

Is my car really running at 20psi though? I didn't do anything to increase the boost, all I have is an intake and that BOV. Or is my boost gauge just reading weird? Also I am not running lean, the air/fuel gauge and my turbo timer read rich on wide open throttle.

You don't have a boost leak, the sound of the bov is subjective and varies from car to car and you need to turn that boost down with a boost controller before you blow that shit the #### up.

+1!!!

you're supposed to have the 1g bov crushed(not too much though) if you're going to run more than 16 or 18 psi. Get a manual boost controller! your A/F says you're running rich at 20psi? sounds to me like you'll have fun for a little bit then before you know it $$$$$

Did you accidentally unplug the hose going to the wastegate actuator? check all hoses. easy way to run until you do get a MBC is run a hose directly from the jpipe nipple to the wastegate actuator. :thumb: also while your down there take out the pin on the wastegate arm and make sure it opens and closes easily.
