hey whats up , i am a dsm owner for like 4 years, now. First i had a NA, then now in the past year i bought a GST 91. Here is my hate for my car and the reasons why. I bought the car, i changed the timing belt, put two front new axles in the car. Four new tires, boost gauge, two front new struts. Then my trans went. Ok no problem dropped 2000 grand, got a ACT 2100 and a rebuilt tranny. When i got my car , back i a had a blown strut, how you ask, i have idea, I think my mechanic was driving it off curbs. Anway, i put a 2.5 custom piping, and bought a apex dunk. It was all great , now my turbo at high rpms is screaming, like a mini , metal screaming sound. Does anyone have any idea what this is. Is this the wastegate, bov or turbo. I need help. Oh if you want to buy this make me an offer, i had it with this car . :

*laffs* Swapping from NT to Turbo (ES to TSi) is not cheap by any means.... Unless you are a good mechanic and can do all the work yourself.....

Back to the original Topic: The screaming high pitched sound.... Is it causing lag? Loss of power? The Turbo pulls in a LOT more air, you may simply need to give it a better air input level so that it's not sucking in a ton of air thru a tiny pipe (relatively) Most likely I would just upgrade the turbo system and intake.... You dont have to go all out and spend 5K on it or anything, but dropping a good 1500-2000 on it wouldnt be a bad idea and you will definately notice a difference.

I wouldn't worry about a noise like that. I would worry about any odd color smoke. Then there is a problem. All turbo even the T25 make a "whistle".

Dude if it's just a reallly hish wistle it's probaably just what the turbo normally does, if it soudns like something more like metal hitting i'ld tell u to get it checked out, but in either case ur best bet would be to just goto machv.com and just get a big 16g for like $600, i've heard u can find brand new 16g's for liek 500, u just gotta know where to go.
