A friend of mine has a 95 non-turbo talon with a comlpete engine rebuild and for some reason it started dumping oil into the intake from the vent on the valve cover so he decided to remove the vent, plug the valve cover and intake pipe. Anyway I inquiring as to why the car would have started this in the first place but now it probably needs a valve cover gasket and maybe a head gasket too. Let me know what you think.

Our cars normally do this its a pressure relief from the valve cover. You should get a valve cover breather or catch-can mod. If you think you have it bad you should have seen how much was inside my manifold when I got it off my 91 talon this weekend.

plugging the vent is not a smart idea that puts a lot of pressure on all the seals in the engine. breather mod or catch can is the way to be. also what is your friends driving habits always flooring it full throttle or no throttle driver. that will cause a lot more oil than normal to blow out to

Well he's a full throttle driver but the amount of oil is obscene theres so much that it's causing the car to smoke alot and it's filling the cold air filter with oil.

sounds like maybe he is beating down on a motor that has not fully broken in and my still be getting excessive blow by when flooring it causing a a lot of pressure build up in the crackcase.

if he really wants to stop it there is a pcv valve that runs about in the ball park between 100 and $200 thats claims oil will not get passed it he could just get one of those
