Idle Stutter

for the past 2 mornings when i start my car it idels at 1.5 rpms and for the past week or so while ideling the car studders or gidders. it has a like shake and when i take of some times it studders. and my check engine light is one. is there something wrong with the fuel line or sending unit??? thanks

dude your best help would be a logger. Borrow one from a buddy or something. Could be a reall crappy tank of gas. But i haven' seen it trip a CEL before.

it could be a bad TPS, but i would code test it.

TPS=Throttle positioning sensor, it's up near the intake manifold. If you're going to do anything under the hood, I highly recommend that you pick up a Chilton's or Hayne's repair manual, preferrably both.
