anybody ever have this happen: no matter what the motor will not rev higher than 6200. i put in a dsmchips stage 3, i know i hooked up the clutch wire correctly, and even tried it with the wire disconnected. i'm also sure i socketed the ecu correctly(no solder bridges). i swapped chips with another stage 3 w/stutterbox, same problem. i would really like to hear from someone who has had this same problem, thnx in advance.....

call whoever you bought it from and ask them why it' doing it. Maybe it's got 6200 rev limiter.

the thing is i had 2 different brand chips(and clutch wires) and had the same prob. thanks for the replies but i'm looking for someone with firsthand experience....and i have emailed dsmchips, waiting for a reply...

Your clutch switch is screwed up, and the car is going into stuttershift mode the whole time. I can almost guarantee that is the problem.

Ground the clutch switch wire coming out of the ECU and see if that fixes it. If that does, then you know where the problem is.
