I just installed a S-AFC into my 2g Eclipse. It was runing fine until i installed the S-AFC. The car sounds like it is back fireing or it misfire when i drive it. I then took the car to a local Auto Zone and had them cheak it out with the computer thing. It came up saying that the car had a MAS Airflow malfunction, twice. I think the car isn't runnig right because of this. Do you guys have an idea what might be wrong with the MAS or what might cause the car to run like that?

Do you have all the settings on the S-AFC at 0? All the AFC does is change the airflow signal, so if the settings are screwed up on the AFC, it will tell the computer there is a fault with the MAS/MAF. You could also check to see if your MAS/MAF is working properly by disconnecting the AFC and trying to drive without it to see if it helps.

i solved the problem. i hooked up the knock wire on the s-afc to the ecu. i wasn't suppose too so i un-hooked it and it was fixed. thanks for the help!!!!! :thumb:
