Just checked the plugs today and they were white as can be. Lately the car has been boosting bad.Every once in a while when i boost it its really hessitates and stutters(almost as if something is holding it back) but then clears out and drives fine. But when it does happen it feelins like boost gives it no power. Then eventually comes back the next time i drive it or later that drive.I know i need new pugs and wires but i dont think that that is the problem.tell me what u think

Well usually, white plugs are a sign of running lean. When the engine picks up on the knock, it retards the timing, which would explain the power loss. You should get a datalogger, and on a 1g, it will tell you the knock count the engine sees. It also will let you see your a/f ratio, o2 voltage, and timing, as well as anything else you could possibly want to know

I have an A/F gauge and it reads rich everytime i boost it so idk. And i noticed that it only does this 3-4 seconds after shifting gears(it wont hessitate at all at the beggining of anygear) and it will not do it when i get into 5th.it hasnt been doing it lately but i know it will be back.

Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? My car sputters every now and then under fairly heavy throttle, probably >75% throttle and my boost gauge needle wobbles around everywhere for a bit till I back off then it goes away. I actually pulled my plugs the other day and checked, and they are all black (carbon) except for the tips which are white. I have a datalogger and my o2 volts are .98-1.0 at WOT and fuel trims show that its not running lean, and timing is pretty good, so I don't know what could be the problem. I'm assuming we're having the same problem..it just sounds like its sputtering for maybe 30 sec and has no power, then returns to normal. I have replaced all my plugs, wires, tried different gaps for the plugs and don't know whats wrong. Maybe its the coil pack, I'm trying to find someone to let me borrow theirs for a few runs to see if thats it. Let me know if you find out what it is

its not like fuel cut when it reaches full boost but its when it is accelerating.it almost stops you from accelerating and just keeps you at that speed untill you shift gears.I have an aftermarket boost gauge too.for some reason i hear air leaking out from my boost controller when it is idling but it seems to be holding steady boost so im not worried about it.

Does your TurboXS BOV vent? If so theres your problem, your running TOO rich when you blow off (like when you shift), so it stutters and bogs. Also that "air leaking" sound is a boost leak and you need to fix that. What is your vacuum at idle, it should be -18 to -22PSi. Also how long have you been running those plugs (miles), and what are they, they should be NGK BPR6ES (dont want ya to buy the wrong ones ;)). Good luck!

Yes my bov does vent and the gauge says that im running rich when i boost but it only stutters like once every 20min drive and sometimes it wont even stutter.Im runnin 20psi of vac when off the gas but the thing is why would it be holding steady boost if i have a leak and if i fix that leak what will happen to my boost? thanks for all the help :D. I forget what the plugs are but i know they are ngk and they might be old.waiting to get soem tax money back for plugs and wires till i get a job. thanks again

Yea, the BOV venting problem did that to me, where I would get on the gas and it would just cut out completely and wouldn't let me accelerate anymore in that gear. Mine cut out around say 4500rpm or so and wouldn't let me go higher. MAFT changed that, or just recirc

I understand what all of you guys are saying but the problem doesnt happen every day(almost but it doesnt). If it was the bov wouldnt it do it every time i boosted

Well i did what all u guys said and switched bovs back to my stock and it seems to be runnin fine but it will take a few day till i find out for shure. I still hear the hissing sound comming from my boost controller and i cannot find out where it is leaking. I might spray it with soapy water tomorrow to see if i can find any bubbles. But the reason i think it wasnt stuttering befor is because i had race gas in it and the boost was always turned up. So i guess it all does make sense. Thanks for the help. Ill be getting back with all of ya to see what goes on.
