Brief History.
Got the car with 68k on it.
First repair, timing belt replacement. Discovered balance shaft belt broken inside housing.
Operation successful! running great.
8k later harmonic balancer shot craps, drove 1.5 miles home when after I lost power steering, water pump ect... then figured out what happened.
Timing belt cover had hole in it, balancer in pieces, balance shaft belt snapped, timing belt had some nice nicks and cuts in it.
Back together and running, everything went well except!!!!!
I now have a internal metallic type chattering that is coming from the vicinity of the oil pump, can't figure it out. Has good pressure.
Anybody got any ideas on what? why? running out of thoughts and $$$$$$$$$$$
