i have a 95 tsi awd with a dejon tool intake and stock exhaust, its automatic and i have autometer boost gauge and af, im only hitting like 8-9 psi and i thought they hit like 11-13 stock? i dont notice a decrease in power, i just never really looked at the boost gauge while driving it hard, what should i be running in this stock form? and if i put on and my 2.5 downpipe and testpipe with 3 inch test pipe back, shold the stock level go up by itself without getting a mbc? i should know the answer to this, i think something might be wrong. thanks for the help

when you put on exhaust just about all cars i know of dsm and other turbo cars will run high boost levels. You should check to see if you have a boost leak some where. I am not sure what the stock boost is for a 2G is i know for !G it is around 11 PSI.

I'm 10psi stock. It may go up it may not once you put on a bigger exhaust. The t25 doesn't creep that bad. But yes just check and make sure you don't have a boost leak somewhere.

Could be a vacuum leak, what is your vacuum at idle? Also where did you tap the boost gauge? I have read that autometer gauges can be off 1-2 PSi so its probably nothing to worry about. Is your gauge on 0 when the car is off (if its at -1 or -2 then its the gauge)?

i figured it out after i got off of work at donatos, i was drivin and my vacume was like frozen at 5 and i figured i had a major leak, checked my hoses and sure enough right around where they go onto the manny, they were cracked, so i cut them off and put them back on on good tubing, looked at my gauge, and still the same, so im SOL, but then i just pull my boost gauge from the pillar and see a huge crease in the line, so i cut it and put it back on and its perfect, im boostin normal like 11-13 psi. im swaping my 2g bov for a 1g which is sittin hear next to me, and im puittin my exhaust on asap, so ill be boostin like 15-16 psi then, it should be a bit quicker i hope, anyone know if i go from 12 - 16, how much of a dfference it will make?
