what is easiest way to get access to the lower screw to remove a throttle position sensor?!?! I finally got a resonably priced used one and i can't get the old one off to replace it. Please help. Thanks.

you cant just slap a new one on....it has some adjustment to it so your best bet is to just take the whole t-body off then adjust it according to the vfaq article.

Yea Andy is right you cant slap a new one on. It looks really easy to adjust it tho - http://www.plymouthlaser.com/tps.htm It says this

Also, this needs to be done while the Throttle Body is out of the car due to the fact the fuel rail blocks the lower screw to adjust it.

So you have to take off the TB anyway to remove the old one, and to adjust the new one.

Wait, wait, wait,..Do you have a Pre-June 90 Tb or the later style as you have 1G on your post?

I had to swap TPS' on both, and the earlier pre-June 1990 TB TPS I was able to get at with a small ratchet and 8mm socket or mini-screwdriver. The later ones look possible to get at with a mini open ended wrench from the passenger side facing the throttle plate,..I have the later TB on now as I did a TB swap (for oil seal replacement),..I would suggest trying this first before having to take off the TB as a last resort if you can....Of course having the TB on a work bench would be easy to take off the TPS but thats too much hassel for that little TPS,...

Any case, make sure you mark the TB and the TPS with Magic Marker of something for alignment and to put back on so you wont have to re-adjust it or at least be close when you do so. If not, you will need a digital voltmeter or datalogger (which I use) to adust..

TPS is a PAIN to adjust with a multi meter, best bet is find a budddy with a logger

u can always take out the 3 fuel rail bolts and move it out of the way, plenty of room
