I have a small leak coming between the bedplate and block on my car and was wondering if putting jb weld there would work.It appears that the place that built the engine didnt put enough anaerobic sealant on that spot.It is only leaking from a small spot and was wondering if jb weld would work on the outside of where the bedplate and block meet up so I dont have to pull the engine.

Bedplate. Bed plate. Bedplate. Bedplate.

Nope, nothing ringing.

However, if this isn't an area supplied by oil under pressure, I'd first recommend a thorough hosing with Brakleen or similar residue-free cleaner, and then a coating of silicone seal. You _might_ get lucky. Problem is that the oil (as it's designed to) has capilary action and will likely find its way past and around whatever patch you try.

Second suggestion would be the 2-part putty they make for gas tanks- it's compounded to be resistant to petroleum products (Justice Brothers' fine weld epoxy will clay up and fail). Again, the cleanliness and thorough application along with luck will be the key.

Oh, and don't fu(king crosspost.
