1G MSD DIS-2 problem

I installed the MSD DIS-2 that I purchased off of dsmtraders today, and now my car will only crank and not start. There is no harness on the DIS, so I soldered new wires to the little stubs coming out of the DIS. I am 99% positive that I wired the DIS correctly, and I have a tack adapter, but my car will not start up. When I turn the key to the on position, the DIS makes a buzzing noise, is this supposed to happen? Since there is no wiring harness I can't use a bypass plug...Did I get a dead DIS?

Well it looks like I got a dead MSD. I made my own bypass system and the car fired right up. Damn.
