My right rear brake light is out so I headed down to NAPA for the correct bulb. Throw it in the car but nothing happens so I took it over to a former co worker. He said that it was the wiring that was bad. So my question is this how do I exactly go about fixing this problem? I really don't want to have pay a shop for this. If there is more information needed on my part I would be more than happy to post it up.

I assume it used to work - yes?
And the one on the other side works?
Wires don't just go bad without some provacation. Did you severely jar the car or have something apart? Are the contacts clean? Do you have any voltage at the bulb socket?
