Engine Head Replaced - NO SHOW

ok heres the deal,,,its a 91 GST i switched the engine head and put in the old gaskets,,,,the car ran for a while i didn't drive it at all just turned it on for a few times or drove it from my garage to the front of my house,,,it seemed like it had no power at all like torque...but anyways one day i decided to move it back into the garage and it turned off on me without anything electical working,,,and lil bit of smoke came out above where the passenger would put they're feet at if they're sitting.....

before that occured i took it to the mechanic to get a diagnostic,,,he changed my Injecter Seals,,,,,,then he told me theres a leak in the exhaust manifold,,,lil loose timing belt,,and that i need a Purge Control Valve Solenoid,,,which i never figured out what it was.....so does anyone have any suggestions?

i also have a probe which im repairing body wise,,,and just bought a '01 5spd STANG,,,after my 00 contour got jacked .......my friend wants to buy the car off me but i dont wanna sell it i love that car,,,if i could just figure it out,,,,,,,so my dad won't make me sell......

yea i reused the old gaskets i was planing to get them changed but would take me 3 days and 130$ for them so i figured to just do this until the car ran better and if it was worth i would buy it...........


i live in St. Louis,,,

i bought the car like in March of 2003,,,with 172xxx for 1600$ but its in perfect condition,,,interior like new and the engine was perfect,,,outside its good too just has a soccer ball dent on driver door coz of a neighbor hitting into it.....but anyways when my water pump died i was changing it and when i put everything back together the timing belt i installed wrong only aligned the crankshaft and not the other lil thing,,,which caused me smacking #2 piston,,,and that was in June of 2003 short lived ;o(,,,got a engine head off a '91 TSi AWD for 50$ its like brand new......but i never was able to get it runnin like new ;o( i miss hearing my blow off valve PSHhhhhh PShhhhhh,,,,,making them mustangs read my plates,,but now i own one so i guess i got wat i deserve

From what I've been told, you cant reuse the old stock headgasket. Your prolly losing hella compression, and aremixing coolant and oil, it blowing any smoke?

i figured i was loosing compresion,,,,,,but mixing oil&coolant? can't be because my oil is as dirty as can be and my coolant is still clean green no smoke never ,,,,,,,,,,,but the mechanic only told me it was the exhaust manifold gasket
