Well .... had the car over to magnus to be tuned and it didnt go so well ..... car pulls pretty damn good but when we poped the hood after some hard driving the dipstick had popped up causing oil to spray all over .... the pcv valve filter was smoking a little bit aswell.... i've definately got blowby ....

Its a Magnus block with about 10,000kms on it .... what do you figure? warn rings?? if so .. how much for new rings with labour do you think??

thanks in advance,

Wes

I don't know what you mean by this. The PCV is on the back of the cam cover, and feeds a hose straight to the manifold. Do you mean the crankcase vent, on the right end of the cam cover? It's normal for smoke to come from there once the oil gets hot.

its the pcv "breather" that is smoking .... i have what looks like a mini K&N filter and its smoking ... im not sure if its smoking because of a faulty pcv (the air is not getting through????) or if my rings are worn .....

hope this helps to clarify my problem .... once again, now that the dipstick is pinched, the only problem im having is the pcv breather is smoking .....

i hope its not a blown piston or something but i dont think this is the case because the performance of the car is still great ....

any input is greatly appreciated ... thanks again
