Ok, I just finished up installing (using vfaq instructions) my new walbro
255 fuel pump.

Everything went very well and the install was a peice of cake other than a
few screws that were a little tuffer than I expected.

anyways so everything is fine and dandy I triple checked everything for
about 20 minutes to make sure I installed the new unit correctly.

Try to start my car and it just sits clik clik clik clik and will not start.

I also did a fuel pump solenoid check with my logger and I can NOT hear the fuel pump turn on (ive heard walbro 255 is very loud and I would have been able to hear it.

What could be my problem? Did I miss something? I need to get to work
tommorow so Please help me asap. Thanks so much guys.

I already checked to see if the fuel pump wire was grounding, its not. Also
I check all the fuses, one of them is out, but even if replaced car still will not start...

Please help, thanks so much

i just did the 190 in my 2g FWD and im sure it's pretty similar. but as far as your car not starting are you sure you plugged everything back together? did you break the plastic clip for the wiring harness? did you put the O ring in properly? did you lube it? did you disconnect the bottom line, if you did, did you retighten?

try to start it a couple times.. i had to try 3-4 times before there was enough fuel circulating for the car to start again. the walbro really isn't THAT loud.. but you can certainly hear the whine..

goodluck and recheck everything because you probably screwed something up LOL :p

yes i lubed it, and no i didn't break the plastic peice. everything I did was stright according to vfaq on it, and everything wen smoothly, everything is tightened down.

I have tried starting my car at least 15 times... about 4 second intervals between turning it on clik clik clik clik then off... wait a bit, then i tried again... numerous times...

do i need to let it try for a longer period of time?

some pics after i took it back out

Check your power wire with a volt meter. Make sure it's getting current, check your ground as well. If you've checked these two things and readings are correct, try another pump.
