Woodstock,
Qestion, I have a '92 Talon N/T that ran fine in that car I have transfered it into another, and now I have no advanced timing. I have base timing but when the engine is rev'd it will stay only on the base. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks in Advance
NOSDBMR

I did an engine swap into a totally different car using the ECU from the other car aswell. Including engine wiring harness.

Thanks for the response, and any help

On that engine the spark advance is determined by the camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, and the powertrain control module. Perhaps one of these is bad or there is a wiring problem between them (and so the spark just defaults to base timing). Start by checking the wiring, cleaning contacts in their connectors, etc. Then move on to the components (swap with known good ones if you can).

I will try that and thanks for all your help it is greatly appreciated. I will let you know.

Thanks
NOSDBMR

what year are the cars/parts from??? remember the 90' stuff is different from the 91-up so interchanging certain parts between the two can cause problems....this only applies if you are using any 90' parts/cars:dsm:
