Hey guys and gals!
I'm new to the forum, so first off...
Hello all, Me and the G/F recently bought a 97 N/A Eclipse! Very nice car, rides great.
However I have a slight problem with it. Its kinda loud in the engine, some tappin is going on, sounds kinda like valves tappin. Curious to see if you guys have or had the same problem. And what you may of done to correct it. Maybe just adjust the valves, Maybe something more!
Thanx for any help in advance!

sounds like lifter tick maybe, run some engine cleaner, get some good oil and a good oil filter on it and see if it goes away. I did all that and i have 0 tick now. And my GFs v6 stang had it to and we changed the oil and all that in her car and it went away for her 2.

I've also heard that marvel mystery oil works REALLY good, and i have also heard change your oil out and get a new filter, then pour a cap of auto tranny fluid in your oil.

Oil has been changed already, I check it frequently, and doesn't burn any at all. Think maybe some Lucas oil treatment? Something of the nature?
