92 Eclipse GSX. Got a code 41 (Injector Circuit). I wiggled the injectors and the problem seemed to go away, but the car had also been sitting for 5 or so hours, so it had cooled down. Not sure which affected the problem, but it was gone. That was yesterday. Today, the car drove fine for most the day, then the problem came back. The car shakes a lot whenever accelerating, even lightly. What are my possibilities as the source of the problem? if it was bad injector, why would the problem go away for awhile? Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? I need to eliminate all the things it can't be given that it seems to go away when the car has sat overnight.

Morning, day 3. Well I went to drive the car this morning and it drove perfectly. This is the same as what happened yesterday. Most likely the cel/shaking will come back when I try to go home from work, just like yesterday. So, I'm assuming engine temperature is affecting this problem. Nothing changed between yesterday afternoon when I had the problem, and now, except for the car sitting overnight. Does that help any of you guys in your diagnosis as to what it can and can't be?

Heh. You already answered your own question (probably).

If you wiggle the injector connectors (heh, it rhymes) and the problem goes away, then it's more than likely a problem with the injector connectors!

Pull all of them off, clean off whatever terminals you can get to (use a light sandpaper, or a pencil eraser, and just clean out any guk in there), and then use some dielectric grease to keep out moisture.

Give that a whirl, and see if it fixes it.

Well, I thought it may have been that. But I tried wiggling them again and it didn't affect the problem at all, so it's not that (I wish).

Yeah, not on the 1G. Code 41 is for the injector, but it doesn't get more specific than that. I'm going to bring the car to be looked at by my mechanic today. We'll see what we find, keep ya posted.

Ok, here is an update. It was discovered that my ignition coil packs were cracked and visibly arcing. So as the car would heat up for 30-40 mins, the arcing became bad enough that plugs 2 and 3 were not receiving spark to ignite the fuel (hence the shaking). New coil packs are 240.00 a piece, so I had used ones put in for a total of $120.00 for both. If this actually doesn't solve the problem entirely, I will keep ya posted.

Well it looks like the problem was not fixed by replacing the ignition coils. I'm getting 130 compression on cylinders 1,2,4, but cylinder 3 is only 75. I was told that it's most likely a problem with a valve seat. Does this sound accurate? This has turned into a much bigger problem than I had hoped for. I had the head rebuilt about a year ago, so I'm at a loss here.

My compression was fine, they just didn't test it properly. My original problem is now gone. I replaced the EGR valve, ignition coils, 2 injector pigtails, and added some fuel treatment for a couple tanks of gas. My only problem now is the infamous hot start problem. Any ideas on that one? Yes, I've read that website talking about the hot start problem, but it hasn't helped so far.

i know this is an old post. but if your still alive, code 41 is injector problem. which means your injector where bad. haha
