I know I can see a little bit of radiator fluid and oil on top of my pistons when I remove the spark plugs, and I may suspect my oil pump to be out or going out, because I am shooting oil out my exhaust like no other. Is it possible to replace the head gasket and the oil pump to fix this, or is oil coming out my exhaust becase the engine is basically in need of rebuild? What do yall think?

Sound like you just blew your head gasket.

I agree this would be the signs of a blown head gasket. Are you seeing white smoke out of the exhaust? This would also be a tell tale..

Head gasket for sure!

It smokes so much, people thought there was a fire. Also, the engine wants to turn, but it just wont turn ON, and when I get it to come on, when I accelerate, oil will shoot out the exhaust. I was told at a shop compression was good? I think they were dsm-illetrate, I don't know, but if you guys think its a head gasket, then I will try doing a $20 replacement, over a $1600 engine?

Yeah just replace the head gasket. When you open her up make sure you check the pistons for play too. You should be ablt to see the cross hatches all the way around the cylinder from the factory. Clean the tops of the pistons and clean the matting surface for the head gasket. Re-assemble and you should be good.

Also you have a 7-bolt motor so you will need new head bolts. Also intake and exhaust gaskets. Probably should do the timing belt too while you there. Hey and the water pump can only be replaced when the belts off so guess what!

I have been quoted $432 for the oil pump/front case labor, and I can get a high flow oil pump/front case for $200. Do they redo any belts in that process? Also remind me for its been a while since I've climbed under a DSM, water pump is part of oil pump/front case, correct? I cannot remember? So do I replace all belts?

No the watter pump is the pully that drives your power steering its totaly separte. Why do you want to replace the oil pump? If its pumping so much oil your burning it in mass amounts leave it alone. If the idiot light stays off you have oil pressure.

Replace your head gasket, timing belt big and small, timing tensioners, and water pump.

The other thing that you will defenitely want to do is have the head resurfaced!!! don't do the job without this. If the headgasket blew there is a reason... More than likely the head is in need of resurfacing. Shouldn't run to much money but unless you want to possibly do it again you should have it resurfaced.
