Strange dash lights lit????

after pulling off my turbo and reinstalling it i started it up my tsi up and the e-brake light, water coolent light, and the battery light lights up. Sometimes they all flash randomly like there is a short. The car runs fine, the coolant is full, the ebrake is not on, and the alternator is charging at 14.8v. Please throw out any ideas

Did you hit the alternator plug while pulling off the heat-shields or turbo? I had the turbo off recently, and the dude helping me said that you can short out something by hitting that plug near the alternator.

I dont think i did but i may have, why would that short out anything??

Any time you work on your car, the first thing you do is disconnect the negative battery cable. Just for reasons like this. My friend tried to change his alternator and fried his computer when the wire shorted to ground. Bottom line ... disconnect before you work on it.
