ugh, I still cant hook it up, I think I bought the wrong harness *again*

can someone either tell me what plug goes where, or what wires to splice to hardwire it. I do no plan on removing the timer once installed so it doesnt bother me either way.

these are the steering wheel plugs

I know that the harness that you have in your hand is in fact for a 2G turbo, it plugs right in to the harness that is located back behind the column underneath the gauge cluster, whether or not the 2G N/T are the same as the the 2G turbos I don't know, don't forget you are in a unique situation in that you have the wiring of a N/T but a turbo under the hood, the fact remains that not many people buy turbo timers for originally non-turbo cars so the people selling the kit may just take the fact that a turbo timer for a 2g car is meant to go on either a GS-T or a GSX for granted. If that harness is in fact correct then you will find the plug on the steering column just past where the dash meets the plastic cover, from there all you do is plug one end to the male side of the plug and the other end to the female side and all your splicing is done.

all 2G eclipses have the same ignition harness even the new EVOs have them too. The problem is I bought the wire from Billy REESE (spelling?) from right here on dsmtuners and he didnt send me all the wires, so the plug that plugs into the igniton harness is the wire I dont have.

Which is why I have been racking my brain and feeling like a complete fuxxing retard when hes the one to blame. Ive got it all figured out now thats to the first poster, and Ive officially given on buying from "fellow dsmtuners" (its not all of them but enough for me to stop giving second chances)

thanks to all who messaged me and posted I appriciate the help.

I would say go to a site that sells the greddy TT and buy a harness, they are not expensive, and it will plug right in behind the steering column, the second pic of the harness you have is right but thats not the part that plugs into the column, or those are not the ends. let me see if i can find my install booklet

Um looking at the picture you got the right harness.. you just found the wrong plug. On my 95 the plug was taped up in foam and higher up where I had to take off the steering column to get a good hold on it. The other wire is the tap for the ground wire and the other is the parking brake.

So as long as all 2g's have the same harness, you found all the wrong plugs. The ign wires are simply the 3 or 4 fat wires and hence the small plug.

If not I can't point you to the right site, but all you need is the 2 ign wires and the one yellow accessory wire to hardwire it in. From the TT you need one permanent ground and one to the hand brake (or just ground it permanently too).

dude that looks like the correct plug, are you sure your trying to plug it in the right harness from the car , like said before ? My harness was located at the bottom of the wheel column. You have to remove the stering column panel to get to it.

Im missing the part that actually plugs into the ignition harness, when billy breese send me the harness I only got the "extenion cord" part, not the pat that actually plus into my car.

I know where the TT harness goes now, I have a pic of one installed, and the wire used for that part of the install I DO NOT HAVE, I will be ordering one and when I do I'll post a picture.

I know you have to remove the 2 pieces of plastic between the wheel and the dash, and that the keyhole is on the right and the ignition wire is on the left.....

when I first posted I assumed the dsmtuner member who sold me the harness sent me the complete and right part, but he didnt, hence my confusion.

actually just to clear this up, I DONT HAVE this part (see attachment)

i got that last pic from a website, its the part I thought I was buying. I bought the turbo timer without a harness, then later bought a wire I THOUGHT was the harness.

all I got was basically an extenion cord it cannot plug into the ignition harness without the wire pictured above.

as I stated before, my problem is soved now that I realized I was ripped off *again*
